Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and his wife Hazel Keech have been blessed with a baby boy on Tuesday. The southpaw took to his Twitter handle to announce the same. While announcing the development he thanked his fans for their support and requested their privacy to be maintained.
“To all our fans, family and friends, we are elated to share that today god blessed us with a baby boy. We thank god for this blessing and wish you respect our privacy as we welcome the little one into the world. Love, Hazel and Yuvraj,” the cricketer wrote on his Instagram post, which he later shared on Twitter.
Yuvraj and Hazel married each other on November 30, 2016 and have been together for more than five years now. They are one of the power couples within the Indian cricketing fraternity. The southpaw announced his international retirement in 2019 after playing the sport at the highest level for nearly 20 years. In the process, he was part of two World Cup titles with the team. He was also awarded the Man of the Tournament in the 2011 World Cup which India won at home.
Since his retirement, Yuvraj Singh has been playing a few domestic T20 franchise cricket leagues. He played in the Abu Dhabi T10, followed by the Road Safety World Series as well. Taking to his Twitter account, he also announced coming out of retirement “on public demand”.
“God decides your destiny!!On public demand I’ll be back on the pitch hopefully in February! Ain’t nothing like this feeling! Thank you for your love and wishes, mean a lot to me! Keep supporting IND it’s our team and a true fan will show his or her support in tough times,” Yuvraj had written.
The southpaw last played in IPL 2019 for Mumbai Indians. Overall, he has played 132 IPL matches scoring 2750 runs with 13 fifties to his name.
