Rahul Tripati is honing his ability to bat under pressure, maintain patience, and remain calm during the game, which should help him impress selectors in the IPL 2022.He says that he learnt and developed this quality by following the legendary batsman and the champion, MS Dhoni, who has performed so well during the strikes, which were strictly generated by himself during his struggling days to be a part of the Indian Cricket team.
The actionable candidates are required for each team in the IPL 2022, as they can hit the most outstanding scores in the match and mark victory for better reach in the game. Rahul Tripati didn’t have a great international debut until now, but there was no doubt that he was a talented batsman who the selectors noticed in T20 and the IPL.
Similarly, most Indian cricketers based on generation, Rahul Tripati was also a big fan of MS Dhoni, as he shared a moment with MS Dhoni in the dressing room during his maiden IPL season with the Punegiant team in 2017 that he treasured. Tripati also recalled some moments in the IPL 2022 in which he was playing for KKR in the final, where he hit six in the last match to cover the scores in the game. During the game, he seemed cool, calm and relaxed about batting under pressure just like MS Dhoni did when he was on strike to make his team win the match. Tripati tells TimesofIndia.com in an interview for IPL 2022: “I was confident in my ability to bat calmly under pressure, just like Mahi Bhai [MS Dhoni].
Tripati has played a total of 62 matches in the IPL in the past to generate a score of 1385 runs at an average of 26.13, which gives a clear view to the selectors that the cricketer has experience of how to play and generate runs for their team in the IPL 2022. One more thing to add is the IPL match of 2017 in Maiden in which he was performing for RPS. He played 14 matches and scored 391 runs at an average of 27.93.
Tripati was such a great fan of MS Dhoni as he always gave credit for his achievement to MS Dhoni as he was recalling the maiden moment when he was standing near to the Mahi as his dream of life came true in his cricket career as he got the chance to play in his maiden IPL. He says that I learnt so many things from Mahi Bhai, like taking tips from him on how to improve our game. Observing him was the biggest dream for me. And then I made up my mind that I wanted to be a good finisher just like Mahi Bhai.
Tripati says it’s true that your dream comes true when you have chosen the right career for yourself in which all your happiness, dreams, and goals are real and attainable, just like I chose cricket as my career, which made my dream come true, not just to see Mahi Bhai but also play with him in his team and win the biggest tournament of my life.
Rahul is going to perform under skipper Kane Williamson this time, and hopefully it will be a good experience for him and also for his entire team in the IPL 2022. Apart from Kane Williamson and Tripati, SRH has selected Nicholas Pooran, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Glenn Phillips, Marco Jansen, Aiden Markram, Priyam Garg, Washington Sundar, Shreyas Gopal, and Kartik Tyagi as a part of their team in IPL 2022.
