The batsman of Punjab Kings supported their team by contributing around 88 runs more than the Chennai Super Kings’ dashing batsman, Ambati Rayudu, whose 78 runs were scored in the game. There is no doubt that CSK has improved their batting and bowling in the biggest tournament, as in the last match, CSK gave tough competition to Punjab Kings while fielding and also while batting in the 20-over match. They lost the game by a small margin, but they improvised their teams so well in the last match.
The last match of the 15th season of the IPL happened between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings. It was incredible, as both teams were very energetic in performing in the 20-over match and set the best score targets for themselves. In the last match, CSK’s iconic leader and hitman MS Dhoni tried hard when he got the chance to bat at 17.5 overs, and his strategy, along with the captain Ravindra Jadeja, was to hit slowly on each bowl and he was taking strikes to hit six and four as the fans demanded by making noise at the stadium ground, “We want six!” and the leader listened and hit 1 four and 1 six before Rishi Dhawan, along with Jonny Bairstow, caught him out of the game.
But Ambati Rayudu worked hard to get a century, but Kagiso Rabada ran him out for 78 runs in 39 balls. What a unique player CSK has in their team. Unlike the capitals, Jadeja worked under strikes this time and learned from his mentor how to bat under strikes with calmness and coolness in the final overs. Ravindra Jadeja went beyond the expectations of the public in the last match as he delivered 21 runs in just 16 balls and also broke the record of not being out in the game. But the thing is, the teams didn’t have many bowls to win, and also had to cover 11 runs in the game, but they didn’t win the game.
But on the other hand, the whole match depended upon Shikhar Dhawan as he wanted to create a century more than win the game, and the partnership of Shikhar Dhawan and Bhanuka Rajapaksa worked out in the game as Shikhar contributed 88 runs and Bhanuka delivered 42 runs to the team, whereas Liam Livingstone also gave a powerful performance and contributed 19 runs in just 7 balls. But Dwayne Bravo, the bowler of CSK, picked two of the heaviest wickets in the game. He knocked out Bhanuka and Liam Livingstone in the game but failed to pick Shikhar Dhawan’s wickets till the completion of Punjab Kings’ overs.
Fans think that if MS Dhoni is not-out in the game, then the victory is compulsory in favor of CSK only. The batters have to take the risk of hitting big shots in the game and it is also very important to keep their wickets safe during the death scores as a good performer in the game.
