The 42nd match of the IPL was much more interesting when Punjab Kings gave a great competition to Lucknow teams, and they were a little stressed to win the game, but anyhow, in the last overs, Punjab King’s batters, unfortunately, failed to hit six and four to get the remaining scores, and they lost the game by 20 runs against LSG.
It was a lucky victory for LSG because the batters in the first overs couldn’t contribute well to their teams, resulting in a four-wicket loss, but Deepak Hooda and Quinton de Kock managed their teams’ standards by scoring 34 runs in 18 balls and 46 runs in 17 balls, respectively. After that, in the last overs, Mohsin Khan had contributed 13 runs for his team.
There was no such player left who contributed any great runs for his team, as Quinton also failed to hit a half-century in the game. And this disappointed captain KL Rahul, who, along with Ayush Badoni, Marcus Stoinis, Krunal Pandya, Chameera, and Holder, had to work on batting for upcoming games in IPL 2022, which will be tougher than current matches.
Though Lucknow Super Giants won the last match, as they were lucky to mark the victory, it was not up to the mark as compared to the tournament levels and that’s the reason the captain of the Lucknow Franchise wanted his teams to play with perfection.
Well, the Lucknow Superstars set a score of 153/8 for the Punjab Kings, and the Punjab bowlers were excellent at picking off Lucknow batters. Kagiso Rabada knocked out KL Rahul, Krunal Pandya, Ayush Badoni, and Chameera in the game, and also picked up the remaining wickets in the game. But if we see their batters who scored 133/8 in the match, it looks like they were also lower in batting as per the competition level in the 20-over match.
So, teams are looking forward to working more on their weakest points, which is necessary for them to stay in such a tournament. LSG’s next match will be on Sunday, at 3:30 pm against Delhi Capitals, for which LSG is preparing very hard to compete with them in the 20-over match of IPL 2022. Whereas, Punjab Kings will perform in the next match of the IPL on May 3rd against Gujarat Titans at 7:30 pm. So they also need to work more on batting to set a big target against Gujarat Titans.
