The new hitman of India after Rohit Sharma is now Rishabh Pant, who hit a century for India in the matches against England. Due to his efforts, the India and England test series ended in a draw and India also won two out of three ODI matches against England. At the end of the ODI series, he got the reward of player of the match, which he dedicated to his senior coach, Ravi Shastri.
Now, Rishabh Pant will do the same thing while representing India in the five-match T20 series against the West Indies. India and West Indies will play three ODI matches, which will start from July 22nd to July 27th, 2022. And the five T20 series will take place from July 29th to August 7th, 2022.
If we talk about Rishabh Pant’s captaincy, he is not really good at all at handling teams’ performances along with his own in the game. Because whenever he was leading any team, his own scores got affected in the game, as we can see him in IPL 2022 leading Delhi Capitals and also five T20 series against South Africa in which India lost starting matches back to back. But he came back to his original form under the coach of India, Rahul Dravid.
However, former Indian pacer Shoaib Akhtar believes that if he wants to continue playing as a batter, he must get in shape to play more games spectacularly. I really think that Rishabh Pant can do more for India in the upcoming matches, but he needs to overcome his weight to perform well in the five T20 series against West Indies, which will start on July 29th, 2022, after the end of the ODI series against West Indies, says Shoaib Akhtar in his YouTube video.
