The most difficult thing currently facing the Bangladesh team in the ongoing T20 series is the skipper of Bangladesh, Nurul Hasan, will be missing the 3rd T20 match and also he will not perform or lead his team in the ODI series, which will start after the end of the T20 series.
On Sunday, the Zimbabwean bowler Hasan Mahmud delivered the ball very fast to the skipper of Bangladesh, Nurul Hasan, which hit on his finger and, due to incapacities, he was ruled out of the game. But, this didn’t affect the team’s victory, as Bangladesh won by 7 wickets in the 2nd T20 match on July 31st, 2022, at Harare Sports Club.
According to the latest information, the doctors have stated that they have done an X-ray of Nurul Hasan and found a fracture at the same figure where he was hit by the bowl and so on. They have not given permission to Nurul Hasan to play more cricket. Instead, they have stated that he needs to take rest till he recovers from the injury. Doctors have also said that it will take more than three weeks to get a speedy recovery from it, and so he will not be available to play in the ODI series for Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh Board of Cricket has decided to appoint Mahmudullah Riyad in place of Nurul Hasan to perform in the 3rd T20 match against Zimbabwe. And based on this, Mahmudullah Riyad might also get an opportunity to become captain of Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup, which will be held in the month of October, November 2022, in Australia.
The three ODI matches are being scheduled for 5th August, 7th August, and 10th August 2022, at the fixed location of Harare Sports Club. Fans of Bangladesh are expecting a good performance from Bangladesh players to win the matches against Zimbabwe in the absence of Nurul Hasan.
