The Road Safety World Series match between the India Legends and the New Zealand Legends was ruined by rain on Monday, but Sachin Tendulkar still managed to keep the crowd entertained with his stroke play. Notably, the match at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore could only go for 5.5 overs before being called off due to rain. By that point, Tendulkar had scored 19 runs off 13 balls. He scored four fours during his unbroken run, one of which came on a spectacular lap shot that has gone viral on social media.

Kyle Mills, a former New Zealand bowler, produced a good length delivery, but Tendulkar hit a stunning lap shot on it for four runs in the direction of the deep fine-leg boundary. India Legends scored 49/1 in the game’s allotted 5.5 overs. When rain interfered with the game, Tendulkar and Suresh Raina (9 not out) were batting at the crease. Earlier, in the fourth over of the innings, Shane Bond sent Naman Ojha back to the pavilion. The right-handed batter finished with 18 runs off of 15 balls before leaving. With 4 points from 3 games, India Legends are presently in third place in the standings. The Tendulkar-led team won their first game before the rain forced the cancellation of the next two games. West Indies Legends are in second place with 5 points, trailing only Sri Lanka Legends at the top of the standings with 6.
