Shaheen Afridi, a Pakistani speedster, may have been absent from recent cricketing activities, but he has his sights set on the next T20 World Cup in Australia. Pakistan has had difficulty expressing themselves as they would like to on the cricket pitch while Shaheen is injured. A few days before the T20 World Cup 2022 kicks out, Shaheen has issued a warning to competing teams and their supporters.

Shaheen shared a photo of himself online wearing casual clothing. But his caption on the photo caught the interest of admirers the most. “Calm before the storm,” said Shaheen. The four-word tweet accurately captures his current attitude. Pakistan lost the Asia Cup 2022 and the seven-match T20I series against England without Shaheen. Despite not being fully fit, Afridi is a member of Pakistan’s T20 World Cup squad. The pacer won’t return to the 22-yard strip until he is fully fit, according to the Pakistan team management.

Friday marks the start of a tri-series between Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, with the opener taking place against the Bangla Tigers. Afridi plays for the Pakistani team. He may or may not be included in the starting XI, but that has not yet been determined. Shaheen must perform at his peak level once more for Babar Azam & Co. The absence of the left-arm speedster was a major factor in Pakistan’s poor performances in the Asia Cup and the T20Is against England. But because they don’t want the star bowler to suffer another injury so soon to the T20 World Cup, the team management have to approach his condition cautiously.
