Every day, the T20 World Cup gives fans fresh reasons to fall in love with the game all over again. The T20 World Cup 2022 has been an exciting competition, from Virat Kohli’s game-winning knock of 82* runs against Pakistan to Rilee Rossouw’s century against Bangladesh in 56 balls. Through numerous channels, supporters have been communicating their emotions over various developments during this. Be it by applauding for their nations in the stadium or by sharing positive feedback for the athletes on social media. But an odd incident has surfaced just a few hours before Zimbabwe and Pakistan’s Super 12 match on Thursday, where fans of both teams engaged in a brawl on the sidelines.

It all started after a Zimbabwean fan tweeted, “As Zimbabweans we wont forgive you…you once gave us that Fraud Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean Rowan ..we will settle the matter tomorrow just pray the rains will save you…#ZIMVSPAK.” It was discovered that the supporter was making a reference to a 2016 occasion when a Pakistani guy called Asif Muhammed visited Zimbabwe. He resembles Rowan Atkinson’s Mr. Bean, a well-known television character. The Pakistani man reportedly participated at the Harare Agricultural Event, went to a comedy show, and did road shows.

Speaking about the game, Pakistan and Zimbabwe will face off on Thursday at Perth Stadium in the Super 12 encounter of the 2017 T20 World Cup. Pakistan has so far lost one game to India, and Zimbabwe’s match with South Africa was called off owing to weather.
