Prior to the third ODI against Bangladesh, Team India head coach Rahul Dravid was spotted teaching emerging India all-rounder Washington Sundar the finer points of batting at the practise nets. India is behind 0-2 in the series against Bangladesh and is dealing with a long list of injuries. To explain the front foot drive over the covers and the hit square of the wicket on the off side, Dravid is shown shadow batting left-handed in the video. Later on in the nets, Washington Sundar can be seen making the identical shots.

As India gets ready to host the ICC World Cup later in the year, Sundar is a crucial part of the team. India’s preparations have not gone well so far because they have dropped two straight games to Bangladesh. Dravid and other support staff members are working to help India’s bottom order batsmen improve in this area because they must contribute well with the bat. Sundar has a great chance to flourish in Ravindra Jadeja’s absence due to injury.
