Since Ravindra Jadeja was picked to India’s side for the first two games of the four-game home Test series against Australia, fans will be anxiously awaiting his comeback. He last appeared for India against Hong Kong in the Asia Cup the previous year. The all-rounder had surgery on his knee and missed time owing to it. He has been receiving rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy since the operation (NCA).
Now, it appears as though the all-rounder could make a comeback in Saurashtra’s final Ranji Trophy match against Tamil Nadu in Chennai, which begins on January 24. Jadeja was selected for the Indian team, but his participation would depend on his level of fitness. He will be looking to demonstrate this in the forthcoming Ranji game. Jadeja also teased his reappearance on Twitter by sharing a picture of a jersey bearing his name. He added the caption, “Missed you. But soon”. Here’s the image:

His absence from the T20 World Cup the previous year cost India, who were eliminated from the semi-finals. Jadeja has amassed 2523 runs, three tonnes of runs, 17 fifty-scores, and a top score of 175 in 60 Tests. His total in 171 ODIs is 2447 runs, including 13 half-centuries and a best score of 87. In 64 games of T20Is, he has scored 457 runs, with a high of 46. He has taken 242 wickets in Test cricket, 189 in ODIs, and 51 in T20 Internationals.
