When Harmanpreet Kaur takes the field for India against Ireland in a Women’s T20 World Cup match on Monday, she became the first cricketer to ever play 150 T20 Internationals. Rohit Sharma has participated in the most matches (148) in the shortest format of men’s cricket. “It (playing 150 T20I games) means a lot, I got an emotional message from my teammates. Thanks to BCCI and ICC, we are able to play so many games,” Harmanpreet said at the toss. Suzie Bates of New Zealand and Smriti Mandhana of India are the two players with the most appearances in women’s cricket, respectively, with 143 and 115 respectively.
