On Day 4 of the ongoing fourth Test in Ahmedabad, India managed to grab a 91-run lead over Australia thanks to a brilliant century from Virat Kohli. India concluded their first innings on 571 after Kohli scored a brilliant 186, narrowly missing out on his eighth Test double century. Shreyas Iyer was unable to bat owing to an elbow setback, and India’s first innings ended on 571.
Being Kohli’s maiden century in the format after more than three years, it was a noteworthy performance. By kissing his wedding ring on his gold chain, Kohli honored his wife Anushka Sharma by dedicating his milestone win to her.
