During the current LLC Masters, former Indian cricket team all-rounder Suresh Raina was questioned about a future return to international cricket, but his response to the query quickly went viral on social media. A reporter questioned Raina during the press conference following an India Maharajas game, “Everyone wants you back in the IPL after your performance tonight in Legends League Cricket.” Raina was amused by the question, and he denied any chance of a comeback while referencing Shahid Afridi. “Main Suresh Raina hoon. Main Shahid Afridi nahi hoon. Retirement le chuka hoon (I’m Suresh Raina, not Shahid Afridi. I’ve taken retirement),” he said.

The reference was made due to the fact that former Pakistan cricket team star Shahid Afridi has come back on multiple occasions after announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket.
